A Personal Note from Velvet. . .

This past year has been extremely tough for so many people in our great country. As the economic conditions continue to have pressure pains at all sides, we are left sometimes to wonder, what will happen next? How much longer will it take to turn around and when will all this be over? No matter what we face, we are never overwhelmed to the point of no return as long as we keep our focus on God. Even when I don't think He hears my prayers, He really does. And even when I think I am all by myself, I'm really not. He promised He would never forsake us and this is what I choose to believe. Life is full of choices and I want to be someone who makes wise choices. Can anyone honestly say that they want to make bad choices in life? Look around us, companies made bad business decisions (choices) lending to people in conditions that were not appropriate and people chose to take more than they could handle and all it did was put America into a stressful situation that has hurt everyone. We have to realize that our choices determine who we are and what our outcome will be! When I think of what life would be without Christ, I wonder how I would handle life's situations alone. I  want to teach my son the value of making good decisions and being honest in all his ways. Being thankful for all that he has and not desiring too much of the frivolous things in life. Even when it is hard at times, there is peace in God.  For every situation and for every burden we bare, God is more than able to handle it.  Allow yourself to be wrapped up in the love of Christ today.  Reach out to Him and talk to Him. He desires to have a relationship with you and created you just for that very purpose. You will find answers to all your uncertainties with Him. He really is as close as the mention of His name.

Blessing to you and yours,

Velvet
